Minister announces new National Maternity Survey

At the conference, Phelim and the Minister announced a new National Maternity Survey which will commence in early 2020.

Welcome to the latest edition of HIQA News.

Under the new medical exposure to ionising radiation regulations, the deadline for all persons or bodies who provide or engage others to carry out medical radiological procedures to declare themselves to HIQA passed on 8 April 2019.

National Patient Experience Survey

The first National Patient Experience Survey Conference took place on 5 March 2019 and was attended by over 300 people from the public acute healthcare sector.

Disability services update

Our disability services inspection team continues to engage with providers of services to promote quality improvement, with roadshows around the country happening later this year. We are also continuing our engagement programme with residents and their representatives and advocates.

The Future of Safe Prescribing Conference

HIQA took part in the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and British Pharmacological Society conference on The Future of Safe Prescribing on 29 March 2019.
