Research on the Implementation of National Standards in Health and Social Care Services

In 2019, we advertised a four-year PhD studentship to undertake research on the factors influencing uptake and implementation of national standards to inform our work. 
That September, Yvonne Kelly joined our Standards Team to commence this studentship, completing a PhD through the Structured Population Health, Policy and Health-services Research Education (SPHeRE) programme, based in University College Cork (UCC).

SPHeRE Network 8th Annual Conference

Last week, a number of our staff members presented at the virtual SPHeRE Network’s 8th Annual Conference, discussing restrictive practices in nursing homes, implementing national standards, evidence synthesis and notifiable incidents in social care services.
