As the work of the National Care Experience Programme expands, we recently met with Richard Hamblin, Director of Health Quality Intelligence in New Zealand’s Health Quality and Safety Commission, to discuss international collaboration between similar programmes.
During the meeting, we planned a new collaboration project with New Zealand, Australia, England and Scotland. This will allow us to share ideas on how we can ensure the greatest impact for our national engagement programmes. We plan to build on this community and host engagement forums in 2020.
We also discussed how the HSE is using the survey results to improve patient experience; while Richard shared New Zealand’s approach to acting on patient feedback and implementing quality improvements. We also discussed ways in which we can support service providers with the development of locally based surveys to further engage with their communities.
In other news, we launched our website yourexperience.ie last month, home to the national inpatient and maternity surveys. Watch our short video to find out more. You can also sign up to receive updates on when survey results will be published.
