The 2022 National Inpatient Experience Survey is underway, with all eligible patients set to receive their invites later this month.
The survey offers patients the opportunity to share their feedback of hospital care, and will ask questions about their experience from admission to discharge, including the impact of COVID-19 on their care.
Anyone aged 16 and over who spent a minimum of 24 hours in a public hospital during the month of May before they were discharged, and who has a postal address in the Republic of Ireland, will be invited to tell us about their experience of care.
All eligible patients will received a survey pack in the post before the end of June, inviting them to take part.
If you receive a survey pack this month, fill it out and tell us about your experience of hospital care. Your feedback will be used to make improvements to the quality of care on hospitals across the country.
The National Inpatient Experience Survey is part of the National Care Experience Programme, a partnership between HIQA, the HSE and the Department of Health.
