Working to improve children’s social care services

We are currently developing new national standards for children’s social services which will aim to ensure that there is a consistent response to all children who come into contact with social services. Tell us what you think  these standards should address by taking part in our scoping consultation.

To inform these new standards, we welcomed Professor Tim Moore of the Australian Centre for Child Protection to meet with us and a number of stakeholder groups in June. Colleagues from the Department of Children and Youth Affairs, Tusla and advocacy group Empowering Children in Care (EPIC) joined us to hear about how to engage children and young people in the development of standards and policies that keep them safe.
