Have your say on HIQA’s new corporate plan

Corporate Plan 2022-2024

We want to hear what you think about our draft Corporate Plan for 2022-2024. The plan outlines HIQA’s core values, strategic objectives and the steps we will take to fulfil our mission over the next three years.

Our broad and diverse remit has grown substantially since our establishment in 2007 and will continue to do so during this post-pandemic phase. This draft plan sets out the key objectives we wish to achieve by 2024.

Launching the public consultation, HIQA CEO Phelim Quinn said: “When we developed our previous corporate plan, we could never have anticipated what was awaiting us in 2020. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on health and social care services has been substantial and it has shape our priorities as we now look towards the next three years. We want to improve the quality of the work we do and the best way to do that is to listen to the views of those using, providing, funding and planning health and social care services.

“Over the next three years, HIQA will continue to collaborate with partners to influence the delivery of safer, better services for the Irish public, will address the outcomes and recommendations of the Nursing Home Expert Panel on COVID-19 and will build on its successful National Care Experience Programme, as well as continuing the work of evidence synthesis to assist with government policy formation. We aim to continue to build on our collaborations, while establishing further constructive partnerships.”

The consultation closes at 5pm on Thursday, 18 November 2021.
